The red poppy has connected generations of veterans, service members and their families with civilians in remembering all those who have fallen. And for more than 75 years, the VFW's "Buddy"® Poppy program has honored those who have sacrificed by raising millions of dollars to support veterans' well-being.

Veteran Outreach

Coming home doesn't mean the battle is over. With over 10 times the amount of veterans lost to suicide than to combat operations in the same time period, there has never been a more important time to TAKE A STAND and DO something to support our veterans!! If you or someone you know is suffering from PTSD, we have people that have shared a similar experience and are ready to help.

WELCOME TO RIVERVIEW MEMORIAL - VFW POST 8108

Teamwork ~ Leadership ~ Commitment
Post 8108 is located at 7504 Riverview Drive in Riverview, Florida between Hwy 41 & Hwy 301. Post 8108 was issued a VFW charter on April 7th 1994 and has approximately 350 members. We are the first Post within District 12 to implement a non-smoking policy in our canteen. Smoking is permitted on our screened lanai and the patio.
 
As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our Veteran Family.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service WW2, Korea, Vietnam, in the Persian Gulf, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending our Nation.

 Commander's Steak Night

The Commander's Steak Night has been moved to August 9th. Both the Post and Auxiliary Officers have mandatory classes to attend in Orlando from July 31st to August 2nd.

You know that car needs a good washing.
Do it and VFW Post 8108 right and come down and get it washed, while donating to help rebuild our roof.
